My client is a strategic and technologic sustainability partner for companies and governmental organizations globally. They build highly tailored, scalable and bespoke technology products that enable provision and service delivery to numerous types of environmental legislation globally, bringing with it the complexity of local, geographic and regional nuisance.
The company is a 25+ year-old well-established business, backed by Private Equity for the last 10 years.
Due to the ever-growing efforts on combating climate change, this stable and future oriented organization is experiencing its strongest growth yet.
For this reason, the company just hired their first CTO in Munich and are looking to grow their tech hub to drive their digital transformation into the cloud. As part of this growth, they are looking to hire a DevOps Engineer interested in joining their mission to empower businesses to become more sustainable.
Your Goal:
Developing concepts, architectures and solutions as a state-of-the-art service for agile product and project management as central part of the development platform, while ensuring the operation of the services in a highly available setup.
Key responsibilities:
- Optimizing the technologies being used to ensure system performance, security, availability and scalability
- Training of stakeholders and colleagues on how to use cloud-based technology
- Creation of cloud architecture (hybrid)
- Container virtualization of applications
- Development Automation, test automation and integration
- Optimize operational processes by programming scripts for automation
- Release and management of codes and system resources using CI/CD
- Ensure compliance with required security considerations
The ideal candidate:
- Good knowledge of software deployment, programming and scripting
- Good Teamwork and communication skills with willingness to work independent and to learn
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role, including software development, scripting languages, cloud technologies (various cloud providers) and system engineering
- Experience of working in an agile working environment, especially using scrum
- Experience in building web services in the cloud
- Knowledge of DevOps, orchestration, programming interfaces, automation and databases like NoSQL
- A good understanding of topics like software applications, web security and computer resources
- Passion for working Agile and motivation for passing on this passion to the team
